Do big kids have to grow up faster?

My family has a history of having very large boys. My 10 year old cousin is 5’7. He was born weighing a whopping 13lbs. My son is 15 months and was bigger than an average 2 year old by the time he was 10 months old. I feel like people expect so much more from them because they are bigger. Even family that knows his age. They expect him to talk sooner, walk sooner, and grow up faster than a child that is small or average for their age.

Do you have a big kid and do you feel society is forcing them to grow up faster? Do you find yourself expecting more out of big kids?
