Friend and relationship

So I vented to my friend about my relationship issue I had. And she ended up going off on my boyfriend after him and I worked it out. Funny thing is that he warned her to stop and she got more aggressive taunting him so he called her some strong names. I told her they were both wrong and I wanted nothing to do with it so she unfriended.was I in the wrong for not standing up for her.
