Breastfeeding ?

hello, im 26 weeks pregnant and wanting to know abit about breastfeeding. I attended like a baby club today and just didnt find it useful at alll as none of them seemed to be answering questions. 
Just wanted to know how long after you can start pumping and feed the baby through a bottle as i’m not with babys dad no more and just thinking like when he was to have baby he’d need like bottles of milk and if anyone has used breast and bottled at like the same time did it take long for baby to latch onto both or did they just prefer the breast or bottle ?

Both my daughters got a bottle of breast milk at only 3 days old (once my milk came in). Neither one of them got confused about it and still nursed just fine. Some babies do get nipple confusion early on (although I think it’s rare) so often times nurse lactations recommend introducing a bottle later when they’re a few weeks old. See if your hospital offers breast feeding courses and most hospitals will provide a nurse lactation once your baby is born, which can be very helpful. 
I actually started pumping when my second daughter was only two days old to stimulate my milk production since I had a c-section and my daughter was losing too much weight.

I breast/bottlefed from day 1, no issue with nipple confusion; this was advised by my LCs. TBH, depends on the baby, but I started pumping day 1 with bottle/breast feeding. LO had jaundice and was early, so the breast was just too energy consuming for her.

A lactation consultant will tell you 6 weeks to prevent nipple confusion, but I know people who mixed bottles and breast as soon as they left the hospital and their babies did fine.

Usually two weeks of breastfeeding to establish proper latch in terms of not giving bottle- I’m not too sure about pumping but it’s either straight away or a two week wait.. someone else will be better informed..

It's different for everyone but newborns naturally know to search for a tittie to eat. It's hard work for the first month especially when your nb is hungry crying. If feel like you don't have enough milk in you to satisfy him so the best advice I could give is to try try try breatfeeding but have a bottle ready to use next to you to ease him. Once he calms down try again with the boobie. Eventually boobie feeding sessions become longer.
