My boyfriend asked for a break...
My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 2 years, and most of our relationship has been long distance (we live 30-40 min away from eachother), we normally go through a week or two where he doesn’t text me, call me, or contact me in any form. Why he does this I have no clue. That being said, he claims he wants a break, because he said, and I quote, “You’ve been distant, I’ve been distant, and honestly I just want to focus on school”. Now see I have not been distant at all. I try and call him multiple times throughout the day, text him, try and make plans, but nothing is ever sufficient. Also, about the school situation, normally I would be understanding you know because that is sorta a valid reason, but we’re long distance so our relationship never interferes with school. We see eachother 2 times a month if we’re lucky (because he claims he’s always busy) and barely talk on the phone. I have a feeling his reason is just an excuse so he could see other people during our break and not feel guilty about it. I love him dearly but I’m getting fed up with giving more in the relationship than I’m getting. Also our mutual friend told me she overheard him telling his friend that he doesn’t have feelings for me that he just doesn’t want to hurt me, in the past she’s lied to both of us to try and get us to break up but I don’t know whether to believe it or not. Any advice ???
