34 +5 days and water broke!😳😳😀

Long story----

So I went to my OB appt and when I went to put drape on for a check some fluid gushed out of me so I told my S/O get a nurse. She comes and and runs a strip to test for amniotic fluid and it showed positive. I have never had my water break on it's own so that was new to me. So they wheeled me over to L&D and a nurse checked my cervix and I had dilated from a 1(previous dilation) to a 2. And she said yep your bag has def broke. Fluid was gushing out still. So they admitted me and started IV and strep B antibiotics. Signed papers for epidural and everything. I had been trying to mentally prepare for a preemie who was going to get taken to NICU right after birth. Then they checked me again and no progress(in 2 hours) so they decide to swab for fluid and low and behold it came back negative!!!! I am still in shock. I had drenched 3 towels while in the bed. Has this ever happened to anyone else????
