Can I claim my 22 year old?

Can I claim my 22 year old on my tax return? I am a 37 year old single mom. My daughter works a full time job and is making 24,000/year. She will be getting married next month. However I want to claim her because I am paying for her college tuition and she lives with me. She attends classes part time in the evenings. Someone told me she has to be a full time student and cannot be making over 4,050/year if I want to claim her. Am I risking being audited?

No, she has her job. She’ll be claiming her own taxes. You can’t claim her.

Nope. She has to be a full time student not making more than a certain amount. Doesn’t matter if you help her pay for school or not. That’s not a qualifying factor for claiming her.

You can claim the interest u pay on her school loans if u have them though if they're in your name. I know that for sure but not the other part. I do know my parents claimed me when I was 20 and living with them but I also was being paid under the table so i wasn't planning on filing taxes then
