I just recently found out I am pregnant with my first baby. I am absolutely clueless with anything pregnancy or baby related so I have been reading a lot of forums but they tend to make me just worry more. Anyway,  will be 4 weeks tomorrow and I got a blood test done yesterday to confirm pregnancy. My hcg level was 53. Is this abnormally low? I’m starting to worry that the baby may not make it. Do I have reason to worry? I’d appreciate any input!

As long as your levels are doubling you shout be fine.

With only being 4 weeks, baby probably hasn’t been implanted long. If you think about it, when your number starts at 1 or 3 or something, doubles every 2 days, that’s a good number! The beginning number doesn’t matter, so long as it’s doubling every 48 hours, you’re fine.
