Husband Help Needed
Okay. So let me preface this by saying I am not a high-maintenance girl by any means. When it comes to birthdays and events, I try to get something for my husband that he would really want but not buy for himself - something that would be considered a excessive for a regular purchase on our regular budget.
My husband, on the other hand, tends to buy me things the family needs or wants, often something we had already planned on budgeting to buy. Ex: a new knife set, fish for the fish tank, etc.
Last year he bought me a video game I didn’t want and told him I didn’t want (he wanted it). I asked him again this year not to buy me video games (I only play Minecraft with my son and that’s all I’m interested in. Gaming is his thing.) and, again, he got me a video game.
Am I spoiled for being a little annoyed? I know I’m lucky to have a husband, let alone one that buys me anything at all. But I go all-out for his gifts (digital meat smoker, gun parts/a gun, an Xbox one, cigar humidor, etc). I really don’t do anything special for myself - I don’t even go out for coffee or lunches to save money and even cut my own hair. The last pedi I got was the day before my wedding 9 years ago. And I guess I just wish he made an effort to actually make me feel special? Idk.
Help. Please. Perspective needed on this.
