Will the baby know daddy?

I'm so nervous because my fiancé has been away for more than half of my pregnancy. He will be coming home shortly but it will be around the time our baby shower. I'm so nervous that our son will have no idea on who he is I know it's silly but he only hears daddy's voice on the phone. I'm not sure if it's not hormones talking or what it is

You're still pregnant? Babies don't hear much until like 6 months in. I wouldn't really worry about your baby knowing the father just because the baby doesnt get to hear his voice frequently. Bonds are easily made after the baby is born. Now my only fear would be if your SO will be away for most of the babies life. Even then there is video chatting, etc that can be done. Just relax

There is no need to worry that baby will know the daddy, as long as dad is there during birth and everyday since I'm sure you'll be fine
My boyfriend works 50+ hours a week and every time he comes home my daughter runs to him with so much joy and hugs him and won't leave him alone and she is only 1 year and 1 month
So the fact that he doesn't see her much and yet she still goes crazy over him every day she sees him later in the day, I'm sure your baby will be fine with recognizing daddy haha

This may sounds off topic but it does apply. My sister an I are very close but she lives a few hours away. We talked on the phone everyday while she was pregnant. She would often have me on speaker and set the phone on her bump. Her sweet little girl is now a few months old and will turn and look at the phone whenever I talk to her. Try some phone calls and let him talk to baby. They remember!

As long as he is around after baby is born, it'll be fine. My daughter was in the NICU for 4 months and her dad had to work so I was the one there most of the time. He would come on saturday night. Once she got to the point where we could hold her, thats when she could tell if it was me, dad, or a nurse. Now that she is home, she is dads girl all the way. He was really concerned that she didnt love him or know him because he couldnt be there in the NICU all the time. He was totally wrong!

It'll be fine! When he gets home have him attached to your belly talking lol. Baby will know Daddy just by being in his arms and close to him. It's hard being alone for any period of time when pregnant but it'll work out. Your family will be happy and loved
