Is ROA position good or bad?!
I’m 39+4 weeks and my baby has been in the right occiput anterior (ROA) position for months. I always assumed this was a good thing because she was head-down, but now I’m reading it’s not ideal and I could have a slow and/or more painful labor. I guess it’s because babies usually turn clockwise (??) and that would make her turn sunny side up. She’d have to turn a lot farther to get into LOA or OA position, which is supposedly the best position.
*However*
I’m ALSO reading that ROA is actually a good position for labor, and my midwife has never mentioned that we need to try and turn her, sooo...
WTF
Does anyone have firsthand experience with this??
