Is a present needed????

So me and my boyfriend have been together almost a year now... at the end of this month it will be a year...
Do I buy him a present for it like i would if it was a marriage anniversary or not??
I really don't know what to do... we will most likely grab something to eat out maybe but thats most likely to be it...
I really don't know what to do....

When my anniversary came up with my SO, I got him two things. One was a matching necklace that had the day we started dating on it and our initials. The second gift was really cute lingerie, just because I wanted to do something special for our anniversary. I say get him a gift you both can enjoy together.
