So what about the victims of the past

So now that society has made it okay to report sexual crimes can the men and women brave enough to report right as it happened decades ago get another trial for their predators? Do we get years back of our lives that is now filled with “we belive you” instead of how dare you make that claim? Can the dna and rape kits collected over those decades now be re trial with the respect that others are finally getting now? I’m not taking away from any victim but what this “movement” has done for survivors that had enough courage to report then no matter the cost, is just really destroyed the years of process I personally was making. Some will never get a sorry ornanother chance to tell their stories in court with solid proof. So does this mean 20 years from now we will take child abuse seriously too? Because that is the next thing. Taking kids words of abuse seriously instead of just thinking they don’t know.
