fleas on newborn kittens

So my cat just gave birth 2 days ago, she had fleas which we didn’t even notice and now the babies have fleas. I have read multiple comments online saying dawn dish soap the blue one will help get them off but I’m worried washing them will make their scent come off and the mom not wanting to take care of them. Has anyone tried this and what were the results?
