Early ultrasound?

This is my first pregnancy. So naturally, I’m paranoid and so anxious to be able to see this little nugget. But, I’m still waiting for my insurance company to approve an early ultrasound before they’ll schedule me. Has anyone had this issue and how long did it take? Or were you able to get in pretty quickly. I’m a little over 6 weeks. Which when my doctor said we had to wait for the insurance company, she said that she wanted to wait until I was at least 6 weeks to schedule it so we could actually see a baby. So I don’t think she particularly wanted to wait super long for me to come in.. I’m so beyond anxious and emotional and over analyzing every little thing since I have no idea how the baby is doing.
