Vaccines and the law

Gabi’s post got me thinking.

I know CC is generally against the government dictating what they can and can’t do with their bodies. So I’m curious...

Do you think that fully vaccinating your children should be enforceable by law (unless medically unable to do so of course)? And what does fully vaccinating them mean to you? Does this count things like the chicken pox vaccine? The flu shot?

If you don’t think it should be a law, then do you think parents should be charged only if their child gets sick? Does the type of illness (chicken pox VS polio) matter? What about the outcome (child turns out okay VS child dies from the illness)?

(And yes I vaccinate - before anyone goes making assumptions). Just thought this might make for a good discussion.
