Hypothyroidism

So for almost a year I didn’t have a period and none of the symptoms. It was heaven but I did it pay for it with weight gain, fatigue and other hypothyroidism symptoms. So I went to the doctor and now they’ve got me on a high dose of Levothyroxine. Now I’ve had my second period for the first time in months and I freaking hate it because my cramps are 10x worse than before and I have twice the symptoms. Did this happen to anyone else when they started taking hormone pills?
