40 and losing hope

Hi everyone. I will be 41 in Sept and don't know how long I should keep trying to have another baby. I have a 16 year old from my first marriage. I am now with the love of my life and back in April we miscarried. I'm concerned at my age it will happen again. I'm just so confused.
