First time fur mom 🐶🐶🐶

Hi everyone! So yesterday we got an almost 4 month old puppy Labrador retriever and we are trying to potty train him but have no idea how. He’s very shy and he did go pee and poop twice today but other than that he has peed in the house and which is not good since I have a toddler but of course i clean it right away. Can you guys give me any tips or tricks on potty training a dog?
