Pack n play instead of crib?

Question

We got a baby trend pack n play that can be used as a bassinet. So far it’s all we have for baby to sleep in but I was wondering if it was okay to continue use until he’s big enough for a crib? It has pretty thin padding and I don’t know if I should use something else to lay him on or if he will be okay sleeping in it as it is. Trying not to spend money on something we won’t need to use yet

They make mattresses for pack n plays and I highly recommend them as they are nice and firm and safe like a crib mattress.  I am on baby #5 and have had both for all of them and none would use the crib

my daughter slept in her pack n play i made it all comfy for her i will do the same for my son. It was a big help and could easily be moved and altered

That's what we are doing for him sleeping with us in our room until at least 6 months.  After that he'll move to his own room with his crib.

I used one for awhile with my son. It was easier for us since we had very limited amount of space. I plan on using one for this baby too for awhile.

I have a crib in my garage but my son sleeps in a pack and play because our rooms are on the smaller side these are more convenient

My daughter was in one until she was 8 months lol
We were staying with my mother in law while my husband was deployed. No room for a crib
