What can I Expect? (Getting Induced)

Melissa • 👶🏻 🎀 Baby Girl // Due 3/2/21 👶🏻 💙 Baby Boy // Born 10/4/18

I’m 40 +2 today and still not dilation. I am scheduled to get induced at 41 +2.

I asked my OB if it was likely I will progress on my own (being that I haven’t already) and he said while it’s possible it’s also unlikely. Most likely I will need to be induced.

First question- what can I expect from the process? I’m very nervous.

Also- anyone here get induced with zero dilation? I’m especially interested in hearing your experience.

Further- while my baby isn’t measuring super huge, I am concerned about having too small of a pelvis. My mom has to have c-sections for me and my brother because of that- and my OB said it does look like my pelvis could be on the small side but it’s hard to tell before I’m in labor. This has nothing to do with my actual size- I’m not tiny and neither is my mom, but the size of a pelvis is not based on overall size apparently. Has anyone been induced and needed a c-section because of a small pelvis? I’m trying to prepare myself for an incredibly long and hard road ahead.

I’d greatly appreciate hearing your experiences!
