Easiest way to clip a toddlers nails?

My little girl is 18 months and she will kick and scream if you try and cut her nails? What’s the best way to get it done without risking me cutting the nail to short because she doesn’t like it... 
Baring in mind I’ve absolutely hated doing this since she was a baby 😭 their fingers are so tiny it’s so scary 😭

I used to have to wait until my son was asleep lol. He’s 5 now so he doesn’t mind getting them clipped

For my.son i started cutting my nails and he became interested and would.start to put his hands out for me to do his since they always want what we have. I dont hold him when i do but let him face me. He seems so much more receptive when i do it this way. Then i sing while doing it and we clap.after each hand
