Side effects of progesterone shots?

I have to start getting weekly progesterone shots to help me from going into preterm labor as early as I did with our first. I was wondering how they went for other ladies and if you had any side effects.

I've been getting the shots since 16 weeks and and currently 27. My arm is usually sore the day of the shot and I get like a knot at the injection site that doesn't fade until the day before the next shot. I'm supposed to receive the shots until 36 weeks.

With my last pregnancy, I started the shots are 16 weeks and received my last one at 35 weeks. Let’s just say they worked very well for me lol. I got to 39 weeks and still no sign of labor 🙁 I asked to be induced due to multiple things but none health related and my doctor said yes lol. I delivered my baby at 39w5d. I’m currently pregnant again and started my shots at 24 weeks ( I was out of town and couldn’t start ion time) and I will receive my last one at 36 weeks. So far the only side effect I’ve had is soreness at the injection site.

I had them at 35 weeks when I went in preterm labor to stop it I'm now 37 weeks and begging my baby to come out they worked great for me the only thing is that I got them in my arms and they really really hurt 😭
