So confused...

Help! I was 8 days late this month but had some light pink blood on day 7 & 8. I thought maybe I just was off. I finally on day 9 got a full period but it keeps coming and going. On day 9 I (tmi) had a full period all day, in the middle of the night changed my tampon and it was bone dry ( I put it in right before bed) so I didn’t put on back and was fine the next until like noon. Then had a full period all day/ night. Today my tampon was dry again this morning, (I had changed it at like 3 am) so I didn’t put one back in and at like 10 I started bleeding again. Is this normal? Has anyone experience this before?
