Flu shot or no??

They're predicting this flu year will be bad but not as bad as last year's. So question is, should I get the shot? I'm currently 13+1 weeks pregnant and I did get it last year but of course, I wasn't pregnant.

I didn’t get it last winter while pregnant I said no, and I wasn’t sick once not even a cold, my baby was totally fine, I am pro vaccine but the flu shot seems pointless to me in a healthy person, I haven’t had the flu vaccine in like 10 years and I am Never sick besides the common cold every one in a while. I mean the shot protects against only certain strands and the flu muates all the time so I didn’t think it was worth getting it especially because of all the crap they put in it for there to be a chance of it not being effective at all. I think it’s totally up to you and how your immune system is but me and my baby both very healthy without it

Yes; there is no harm to you or baby. You may feel a bit achy after but that’s just your body doing what it’s supposed to do. You will not get the flu from the flu shot. You will pass antibodies down to baby to help protect them as well. And even if you do get the flu your body will fight it faster than if you didn’t have the flu shot and your symptoms will be lessened

I say get it for sure. The flu can be devastating to pregnant women and unborn babies. ANY additional immunity you can get (and pass on to your baby) will help!

Yes you should. It protects you and the baby. The flu can severely harm and even kill your baby (trust me there). The flu shot is harmless to the baby.

I’d just get it I’m 38 weeks pregnant and around my 26 week appointment my doctor actually told me I was getting the shot and gave it to me without me asking because it protects you and the baby for when the baby is born

About 1% of the population is pregnant at any given time. About 6% of people who end up in the hospital with the flu are pregnant. So, talk to your doctor, but I got mine.
