My boyfriend who lives with his parents pays $600 a month but before 6 months ago he was working and gave every pay check he made to his parents which was like $7000 in total. His mom seems to me to be very ungrateful because she makes comments such as “you think your little $7000 helped us”. I just don’t understand his mom, his mom is a stay at home and hasn’t worked since she was 19 since his dad supports her. My boyfriend is trying his best, he couldn’t even start college because he gave all his money to his parents. He also doesn’t have his drivers license since his mom is controlling and she wants him to live at home yet treats him like shit. His mom is a nice person but the way she is to her own son is just crazy. Now she wants to raise the rent and my boyfriend doesn’t know what to do because he only has $20 in his bank account since he gave most of his money to his parents.

Any suggestions on how to handle this situation or what he should do?
