have to keep bringing up the fact that your SO should be getting some legal stuff dealt with asap before anything changes?

ever since my step-daughter came to live with us (10 months ago) I’ve been telling my guy that he should start the process to make sure all of bio-moms parental and legal rights (etc) are all terminated. He just needs to have one consult with a lawyer in order to find out exactly what kind of rights (if any) bio-mom currently has, and then we can figure out where to go from there.

It’s frustrating to me, and honestly a bit scary not knowing what bio-mom could be capable of doing one day if she wanted to.
