Has anyone tried to change jobs while pregnant? I’m currently 12 weeks and my job is having so many changes sit just feels like it’s time for something new. The only thing that worries me is finding something with same or more pay and insurance.

Fmla requires you to be employed for at least a year before you start maternity leave. You will risk losing fmla benefits and job guarantee when you return from leave. Some companies will still hold your job for you but it is not legally required if you are employed less than a year.

Definitely no harm in looking! If you don’t find something that you are comfortable with then you don’t have to leave your current job.

Just check the maternity laws with your state. I’m in California and your only guaranteed maternity leave if you’ve been with your current employer for a year

Thank you lady’s. I’m hoping I can just do till i have the baby and while on leave look for something else. It just does suck when they are changing so many things at once and then they change what they just changed and act like they never did that 🙄
