Please read! Labor & Delivery and Insurance

Hope

Today I went in for my 12 week appointment and had to speak with a Benefits person. I have health insurance through my husband’s job. The doctor I’m seeing is In-Network but it’s not affiliated with his job. If I delivery the baby with a hospital affiliated with his job I get all the perks and benefits of his insurance. Only a 1,000 deductible and $600 hospital copay. Fast forward to if I just keep seeing the doctor I have now, I will have to pay $1,000 deductible, plus $1,500 for her to deliver, plus all the hospital fees. Can somebody please help and let me know about how much you had to pay with insurance the total after the insurance covered their part. I know the better option would be to go to a hospital affiliated with his job but I really like the place I’m going to now which will be more expensive and the $1,500 fee doesn’t include hospital stays or epidural. If I’m going to a hospital affiliated with his job I would have to pay the deductible and only $600. I know which one would be the better option and the cheapest. I’m just seeking advice and ideas on what you all had to pay with health insurance. I know it varies by state. The easiest decision would be just go the cheaper route but I’m not sure if the service will be great like where I’m at now and if they will work around my school schedule like the place I’m going to now.
