Childbirth...What's it really like ladies?

I only know about childbirth what I've learned from TV. What's it really like? Is it more painful than cramps? Are epidurals dangerous for you or the baby? Are hospitals safe? I've always had a thing about hospitals and nurses. Is home birth a better option?

My mom told me when she was pregnant and asked one of her family members what it’s like they told her it’s like shitting out a watermelon. So I guess that’s probably pretty accurate.

Some of my friends and family have had super easy births with very little tearing and others have had painful ones and are never going to have children again because of how bad it was.

Its diffrent for everyone i had a csection with my 1st bc everything that could go wrong did and we both almost died but some people have super easy births and others super hard ones

I was induced at 41 weeks. Gave birth at the hospital. I did an epidural. My daughter is fine. The nurses and doctors were very professional. They made the experience for me very comfortable. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I felt safe my entire time there. Next month I’m due again and will do the exact same thing at the hospital I gave birth last year.

I got induced due to blood pressure issues. I gave birth naturally without pain medication and that pain was out of this world. Due to my baby coming fast, I had a grade 3 tear and had to also get 9 stitches. Mine was terrible. I also could not eat for close to 30 hours. I also bled so much my hemoglobin went from 13 to 6 upon delivery.
