Baby Shower Snacks??

Abby

Hey all!

So, my daughter came into the world early (and we were not nearly as prepared as we wanted to be), so my mother decided to hold a belated baby shower for us. She got out of the hospital just in time, so she's going to get to see everyone! Yay!

My mother is planning most of the party and she is getting the cake. Her friend and her daughter are taking care of decorations and punch. There was talk about possibly a fruit/veggie or cheese plate. We're not really planning on a full meal, just some snacks and sweets.

I suggested bringing a crock pot of Buffalo chicken dip, with chips or celery, and maybe some deviled eggs (everyone seems to love my deviled eggs, and I thought it might be cute to dye the egg whites with food coloring.) My mom agreed to the chicken dip, but suggested against the eggs (pointing out that they tend to make people gassy).

What do you guys think? Or any other suggestions?

The shower is being held at my parents' church, so the dishes should be pretty easy to transport/heat/put together. We're anticipating about 30 people.

(I originally suggested the eggs because a. They're delicious, and I think they'd be really cute, and b. I have a friend who has an allergy to most peppers and seasonings, and she will most likely be unable to have any chicken dip due to the spice. It'd be pretty easy to leave out the paprika on a few for her.)

Thank you so much in advance!! :3
