Do you wear shorts (like lycras) under dresses?

I’ve always been taught to wear some type of short underneath dresses, unless the dress is bodycon or maxi, and I realized that’s not the norm for a lot of people. Do you do it?

Nope never. Growing up my parents would have me wear shorts under skirts if I was going to be playing, etc where the dress could flip up on accident. But, I didn’t really do a lot of monkey bars, wrestling, etc as a kid and I never did so in a dress. So my parents stopped caring. Ive never had an issue with not wearing shorts under a skirt, but I also don’t wear really short skirts though.

I always do now. My mom never taught me to or anything. In fact she thought it was weird when I started doing it lol. I used to wear soffe shorts which probably is weird but I have different ones for that  purpose now.

No. But if it’s a flowy shorter skirt (like mid thigh), then I wear boy shorts as undies.

It was required that we wore shorts under dresses at my preschool, so that’s still a habit I have today.

Depends on the dress. Like the material; is it flowy enough that it could blow up? Or length.

I do a lot of swing and ballroom dancing so I got into the habit of wearing shorts because my circle skirts like to go a little crazy. If it’s a tight dress that won’t flip up then I won’t wear shorts

I always wear skirts and I don't wear shorts underneath unless the situation absolutely requires it. I'm a really modest person and I've never had any issues.
