I want to be a SAHM...

I really want to be a stay at home mom but I currently bring in roughly 2/3 of my family’s income. My husband never finished high school and has a factory job. He works a lot of overtime and is willing to work more, but I don’t want him to miss out on family time just to make my dream come true. Does anyone who is or has been a SAHM have any tips to make this an affordable option?

Edited to clarify that I’m looking for tips for myself not my husband (money saving strategies, couponing, side income ideas, etc)
