Fever 😢

My little guy isn’t even two weeks old yet and has a 102 fever. I’m at the clinic now but I feel horrible! I noticed he felt pretty hot last night but I just thought he was wearing to much clothing so I didn’t check his temp. He whimpered a lot last night too and has been eating but not for very long 😢 I should have caught it last night I just want to cry.

Update

Only one thing was elevated on his labs. when that count is high it usually means a virus. His chest X-ray report came back saying he has slight swelling in his bronchi so they think he just has the start of a cold. They want me to encourage feedings every hour and give Tylenol when he gets really fussy. He has to go back in tomorrow just to make sure he is doing okay 😊

Update 2 😢

His check up today didn’t go very good. He isn’t hardly eating has decreased wet diapers. And his fever is still high. The doctor called the nicu and the nicu direct admitted him 😢 it’s a two hour drive so we are on the way now. They want to do a spinal tap and more labs as soon as he gets there.
