Is it okay to start the pill at any time of the month?

My doctor told me that the best time to take the pill was the Sunday after my next period but I missed it :/ can I still take it now or do I have to wait until my next period?

You can start at any time, but unless you start on the first day of your period you will need to use condoms for the first week.

The first birth control I was on, I didn't start my pack on Sunday's but it came with sticker strips that had all the days of the week so I could put my own start day on the pack. The birth controls I've been on since then only start on Sunday. I've missed a Sunday before & just took 2 pills on Monday. You might ovulate that month though.

I was told by my doctor that you should start taking the pill the day after your period ends. That's what I did and I haven't had any problems!
