How do you determine the day of your loss?

Is it just the day you started bleeding? I have been counting mine as a whole week long thing, but I keep seeing women talk about the day they lost their baby.

Answer

With my miscarriage in June I counted it from the day they told me baby hadn't made it past 5 weeks (I was 11w1d), but I was told on June 5 so that is the day I mark as the miscarriage.
With my most recent one I had my bfp on September 26, lines didn't get darker, something felt off. I tested October 9 and the second line was barely there and I started bleeding a half hour later - so that's the day I mark, I was 5w4d
