So I’ve been dating my boyfriend for over a year and my boyfriends dad will say things like “love you guys” and i never know if i should say it back. My bf’s sister is older than him and always says “love you” and it feels rude to not say it back but also feels weird if i did say it back. How did you approach this situation and how should I approach it? My last bf i dated for two years but his family wasn’t like this. They were very awkward the whole two years. My bf’s family now really likes me and I know them much better than my last bfs. Im not just not sure how to respond to it. Like his sister wished me a happy birthday today and said “love you bunches” and i just dont know how to respond. Advice??
