My baby boy is about to turn six months old and it has me REALLY emotional (he’s my first born) so I decided I’d finally share my birth story! April 26th I had a doctors appointment, I was 4 days overdue and soooo over being pregnant. I went into my appointment and told my doctor that I was worried if I didn’t have my baby soon he was going to be too big to fit through my birth canal, my doctor agreed so we had set an induction date for April 30th. I was already dilated to a 4 so they would just start some pitocin and pop my water. I went home so excited that I was finally going to meet my little guy in just a few short days!! I started doing some dishes and straightened up his room and started doing some laundry to get ready to pack our bags. At about 11:00 p.m I started having some cramping which wasn’t uncommon haha! I went back to do some more dishes and said screw it I was going to bed and I’d just do the dishes in the morning. I laid down in bed at about 11:30 and the “cramps” got way worse!! I realized they might be contractions so I started timing them and about midnight I knew I was in labor, they were definitely contractions and they were DEFINITELY getting stronger!! I woke up my husband and he jumped out of bed, hopped in shower, and said “LET’S GO” 😂 I called my doctor and told him and he told me to wait a little longer and then head to the hospital so I took a shower and timed some more and then grabbed all of our stuff and baby’s stuff and headed to the hospital at around 1-1:45 a.m!! We got to the hospital and they checked me I was still at a 4. They told me to walk around for about an hour, I walked around for about 45 minutes and my contractions were on top of each other so I went back and I was at a 5. They admitted me and got me all set up in our delivery room. I was dead set on having a natural birth so I told my nurse no epidural as soon as I could!! I sat in the bath tub for a little bit to try to help with the pain, after awhile I went back to the bed, got checked and I was at a 6. A couple hours later I was laboring really hard and my contractions were only about 1 minute apart so I wasn’t getting many breaks😩 I got dilated to an 8 and my water broke, (that was the weirdest feeling ever😂) I immediately was terrified because I knew that my already intense labor was about to get a lot more intense they checked me a little later and I was at a 10!!! After a couple hours of pushing my doctor comes into my room and and asks me when the baby’s head is going to be out and I said in the next couple pushes and he said “ok I’ll be back in 5 minutes” and literally 5 minutes later he was back and ready to deliver my boy, after he walks back in he says “I didn’t really mean 5 minutes but that’s ok” 😂😂 I was bawling, I was tired, I couldn’t do it anymore and finally after FOUR hours of pushing.... my baby was out😍😭

Greyson Tarry Harvey was born at a whopping 7lbs 14oz & 20in long! I couldn’t believe I was finally a mommy!! He wasn’t crying when he came out, breathing but not crying haha! After what felt like a lifetime but was only about 30 seconds he started screaming😌 he was breathing really fast when he was born so NICU came in and checked him out his breathing finally calmed down. I was so proud of my little boy and so proud of myself because I stuck to my birth plan and did a natural birth 🙌🏼

Now my sweet boy is almost 6 months old 😭😭 I can’t believe how fast it has gone and how much I have simply loved being a mommy! My heart is so full 💙💙

Fast forward to almost 6 months, lots of pounds, and two teeth later 😍

His nickname is Beef for obvious reasons 😉😂😍💙 love my sweet, smiley boy!!
