Doc wants to reopen a vertical incision

I’m freaking out.. I have a vertical scar from my belly button down, about 13cm.. It have crohns and it is a 14 year old scar from a bowel resection. They want to reopen it for my c section.

I have read horrible things about a vertical c section recovery and even tho I voiced my opinion to the doctor they made it seem like, “well it’s already there.. soo” and I can’t understand that one bit. It’s my body. If I don’t mind a second belly scar they why are they challenging what I say which it turn only makes me question.. what do I know!!? At my appt last week when I said I wasn’t for it the doctor literally seemed taken back by what I said and told me she would “run it by her colleges”. Wtf does that even mean? I just want to expected c section baby removal method. I know it’s my body and I will make that more clear each tome I just wish I knew why they make it seem like I should know to assume vertical because of an existing scar.
