I went last week for my birth defects scan. I only got one picture from the ultrasound tech, in the picture you can’t see anything but the shape of the baby, and it’s face.

I showed my sister the picture today and she kept telling me it was a boy. Even though I know you can’t tell from that shot because it’s a side profile I still got really sad.

I already have a little boy and want nothing more than to give him a little sister (which is what he and my husband want as well). My husband and I already have a name picked out, we know how we’re going to decorate her nursery and everything.....We haven’t even talked about the possibility of it being a boy and tonight I realized how disappointed I will be if it is in fact a boy.

I won’t love my baby any less but it will probably take me awhile to get excited again if it does in fact turn out to be a boy
