How long did you stay on progesterone pessaries?

I did a 5 day fresh transfer and I got my BFP 2 days ago. My beta is in 2 days. How long do they usually keep 
IVF
 patients on progesterone? I’m scared to stop it as I don’t want to change a thing and ruin it all.

I used the suppositories until I completed 12 weeks of pregnancy, which I believe is the standard but some clinics have different protocols

I was on progesterone in oil injections plus suppositories every night until I was 10 weeks which was about a week ago. I was so nervous to just stop abruptly and I had to ask for reassurance multiple times but so far everything has been fine. I haven’t had any spotting or anything and I feel exactly the same. I know it’s so nerve wracking but I’m loving not having to do progesterone anymore. The placenta produces more than enough to sustain the pregnancy by 10 weeks.

Tuesday is my last day! I’m pregnant with baby boy after 5 yrs of trying and two rounds of IVF I’ll be 16+2 💙
My doctor told me if any time we’re stopping any meds we’ll be taking (usually its 3 Pessaries per day) 2 Pessaries for 3 days then one Pessary per day then we stop; therefore Tuesday os my last day yay!

I know the placenta starts to make progesterone after a certain time but although my progesterone levels were not low, I had two threatened miscarriages when I stopped the suppositories. Everyone is different so I would say listen to your body and the doctor of course.

I attempted to stop the progesterone suppositories twice and had two big bleeds. My doctor wants me to take it for my entire pregnancy. I’m 36 weeks now and so glad I kept taking it. My doctor explained that it helps sustains the uterus and helps prevent premature labor and or miscarriage. I will be taking it straight up to delivery if I can.

I only did iui and was on progesterone for 14 weeks. Doctor said body starts making on its own at 12 weeks and added two just to be safe.

They told me 8 for the progesterone shots, then 10 for the suppositories (but I secretly stayed on them until 12 weeks just to be sure lol).
