Help me please

So my last period started Sept 1,18. We have been trying to have a baby since it ended but tonight October 18th I went pee and and when I wiped there was stringy thick discharge with stings of bright red blood... I'm really confused I just took a test a few days ago and it was negative..my cycle is normally 30 days.
