Dentures???

So this is embarrassing to me but growing up I was not taught good dental care and wasn’t taken to the dentist and now I am pretty sure I will need dentures! 
I didn’t start brushing my teeth till I was about 16 and I wish I would have taken it in my own hands sooner! 
Well now I am 22 and my teeth don’t look the worst in the world! I mean no rotting noticeable and there is some yellow but not the worse! You can tell I do try to keep them up! (Now anyway) However, my front bottom gum line is separated from my front 4 tenth and below the gum line is rotten! I only have one sensitive tooth really! Anyway, my main reason is posting this is does anyone else have dentures on here and comfortable with them? Advice? I mean anything really! 
Please no rude comments, trust me I have heard it all and would rather to focus on bettering myself now!

Most likely not dentures. They will likely put caps (crowns) on your teeth and a good dentist will try to save as much tooth structure as possible. 
Getting dentures is an extreme if the teeth aren't saveable (broken to the root, etc). But usually decay and proper cleaning can be fixed with crowns.
See the dentist asap and don't be embarrassed! It is not your fault your parents didn't teach you how to take care of your teeth. 💕

I'm going to tell you my experience despite it being embarrassing for me bc I feel like it can help you. I'll be 25 in a week and I have dentures. My parents never took me to the dentist growing up and it turns out I had very bad gum disease for a long time that went untreated. At just 18, I was told I would need dentures. I put it off as long as I could, as long as my teeth would allow and still look decent and gritted through any pain I had until about a year ago. Last November I made the decision to finally bite the bullet and do it. They did a consult, took molds of my teeth and then 1 week later, they pulled them all in one sitting. 22 teeth pulled and immediately put the healing dentures in. They put them in immediately to help prevent more swelling and so I wouldnt have to go even longer without being able to eat and such. I wont lie.. it's probably the most painful thing I've been through. I also lived off yogurts and ensures for about 3 weeks and then could do soft food. Ultimately though, it was well worth it to me. I can eat things I couldn't before, cold items that use to hurt to eat, apples, chips, etc. I did have to go and have my dentures adjusted a few times bc as the swelling went down, they would rub and cause sores but they easily could file them down and made it much better. I've paid ahead to also have implants put in and will be doing that in a few months! I would look into implants ultimately if you can and save up for them bc having those put in will help prevent your jaw from moving back as you get older due to bone loss. You probably wouldnt get dentures.  It would more likely be crowns "fake teeth" and then veneers on any that are not rotten.   My daughter is getting a crown for a missing tooth and veneers.  She had a bike accident when she was 8 and messed up 5 front teeth.

You may need like a deep cleaning and probably have gum disease. But it’s all curable! Go to a dentist ASAP. You may not even need dentures!

My sister did drugs, messed her teeth up horribly.She has had dentures(top and bottom) for about 5-6 years.Don’t be embarrassed it’s not your fault, people just didn’t teach you properly.I only brought my sister up because you are both young( she got dentures when she like 20-21)

Ur first stop should be the dentist and see how bad it really is, then go from there. My dad has dentures on the top row. And after all the adjustments he doesn't have a problem with them. The produce is long, cause they mold ur teeth to make them fit ur mouth. Then would be extract the teeth then u would have to heal. He has a partial plate on the bottom due to his teeth were not all bad. So they just took out the bad ones and made a plate to go around the teeth he still had it just snaps in.
