I’m married to a military man. We’ve been married for 2 years And have a daughter. Anyways we live in different states because I work with my family (family business) in NC and he’s in Kansas. We see each other about 3 times a year.... Anyways. He’s turning 21 in November and he told me he wants to go celebrate his birthday in California with his friends (which are single). Both of his friends hometown is California. I told him I don’t feel comfortable with him going. What is he gonna do there with them? And his friends aren’t exactly people I would trust to tell me if something happened over there. Am I over reacting? Ugh! I just know he wanted to go but my mind isn’t going to be comfortable. I know they’re most likely going to get wasted and anything can happen when you’re wasted.
Just adding on to this.. I did suggest for him to come to NC instead for us to spend it together. NC would actually be closer. But he said No, he wants to go somewhere where he hasn’t been to yet like Cali.

3 times a year?!?! That’s unacceptable over a job. You cannot be a wife seeing each other 3 times a year. I would be worried if I were you too.

I’m sorry if this comes out wrong but this isn’t even my boyfriend/husband and this annoyed me . You guys see each other 3 times a year and are married (which would already drive me insane ) & now he doesn’t even want to spend his bday with you ? Something would seem off to me . Would you be willing to straight up just ask him if he’s planning on doing something you wouldn’t be okay with ? I know it’s hard to hear the truth sometimes but it’s better than having him lie or just being with a big knot in your stomach the whole time . Or maybe he just really wants to spend time with the guys (it’s his 21st so worst case scenario he blacks out and his friends have to carry him out the bar with puke all over him and you won’t have to worry about a girl wanting him lmao )  At least you can get an answer . Okay, so since you two see each other 3 times a year, only married for two years, and both of you seem to be in the young, you have every right to be insecure with his California trip with friends!
Especially since you got married, you only have seen each other... only six times a year - with a daughter to take care of.

I agree with what these ladies are saying. That would not fly with me at all. One of us would be giving up something so i could be with my husband. 
But i also personally wouldnt be bothered with my husband going out with his buddies that he never sees. Hes a responsible man and has given me many reasons to trust him going out with his friends. Now i dont know your husband. Or if he has a history of causing problems. So maybe this doesnt help. But in my relationship, my husband is just fine drinking with buddies. Nomatter how untrustworthy some of those friends are.
