Is he actually married

Okay this dude at work always wears a ring on his left MIDDLE finger. Me and a co worker can’t decide if we think he’s married or not. His “wife” or “GF” posted a picture of her ring on her left ring finger saying “this happened last night” do you guys think he’s hiding him being married? Or just engaged. (He always refers to her as girlfriend)
