Cerebral palsy!?

Question

Any may 2017 mamas on here have their baby diagnosed with cerabal palsy? I recently moved countries and requested my sons medical notes. He was under early intervention and in physio and scheduled for an MRI. The doctors said nothing to be about being concerned but when I got the medical notes last week it said my son has Diplegic cerebral palsy and they are just waiting on the MRI to confirm! Anyone else in this same boat? Were feeling pretty shocked and alone right now!

I’m not experiencing this with my daughter, however, my nephew has a form of cerebral palsy. I can’t remember the exact one but it mainly just affects his legs. He was born via emergency C-Section at 27 weeks and this was the result of a lack of oxygen to the brain. We started to realise something was wrong around 18 months. He was a very floppy baby and never really crawled and wasn’t walking. He was diagnosed around this age. I can tell you he is now almost 20 years old. He got 9 GCSE’s and went on to do his A-Levels and has started working for a bank. He has done amazing things and we are so proud of him. You would never know he had cerebral palsy until he would get up to walk. He has a procedure done to help improve his walking a few years back and it stopped him from being wheelchair dependant. He went to mainstream school and has the best group of mates and even has a girlfriend now 🙈 I’ve always been very close to him as I was 16 when he was born so if you have any questions please ask 😊 x
