So i keep getting shit in my mailbox about voting and I don’t want too. Will I get in trouble ?

No.  You are not required to vote.  
But, my philosophy is: if you don’t vote you have no right to complain about the outcome, etc.  that’s just my opinion, though.

In the US? No.
But people struggled, and fought, and died for your right to vote. I think it pretty disrespectful to not take ten minutes out of your day to just do it.
If you really chose not to, then don't complain if the country goes in a direction you don't like.

Depends where you live. In Australia voting is compulsory and will result in a monetary fine if you don’t vote (with some exceptions). 
Some countries it’s not compulsory.

In the us you don’t need to vote. Once you turn 18 they’ll start trying to get you registered so you can vote but you don’t have to if you don’t want to

Nope. I have a "friend" that says she will never vote because "your vote doesn't count". If you don't vote you have no right to complain about anything.
