Spotting during second trimester?

Woke up and had a bit of brown blood on the toilet tissue. I never spotted in 1st trimester.

You can't really tell what caused it but a bit of brown spotting isn't anything to worry about usually! It could be a hernia or something (constipation will do that pretty commonly), old blood from a pap smear or other exam, sex too can sometimes cause it because blood vessels during pregnancy are more susceptible.

Brown blood is old blood. My doctor told me not to worry unless I fill up a pad.
