1 year old being very mean

My son is 16 months old and has been so mean to me, in about 8 weeks pregnant and he’s been hitting, punching, and pinching me and literally comes after me. I stay nice and kind and tell him not to hit mom but he won’t stop... Anyone been through this? Any advice ?
