If Freedom is about doing what you want, are animals more free than humans?

I think it’s deeper than that. I consider myself a free person, but I’m going to make the choice to do my chores today even though I don’t want to. I’m not going to lose my life or be punished in some way (other than having a dirty home) if make a different choice. 
I don’t think animals are collectively more free, but I suppose wild ones could be considered to be.

I dont think anything nor anyone is truly free. We are all infuenced by nature/ situations, somehow.
From animals, any animals, to birds,  fish, insects, critters, and obviously humans.
I dont think anyone or anything for that matter, can TRULY be free to do anything and everything,  as they please and when they please.

I guess in a sense they are. However as wild animals you have to worry about finding food, being eaten, etc. humans also take over their environments which leaves them with fewer options. So while they don’t have to get up and go to jobs they are still generally only as free as we allow them to be. In more uncivilized areas they are more free since they don’t have to worry about humans encroaching on the space they live in. 
Idk I keep going back and forth on this.

I'm torn. Part of me sees no difference. I mean, humans and animals are free. We are all a natural occurrence, right? So where does it change? Some points come to mind, they won't necessarily link, so I will just state them. 
I guess, maybe, it's the fact that humans have the ability to restrict freedom. There are those among us who take it upon ourselves to remove freedom from others. There are those who dictate what freedom is, and grant a version of freedom to people. There's the lack of physical freedoms, that so often go overlooked because our influenced minds are so set on the idea.
My honest opinion on freedom, in our current world, is this - we’re all in a box and we are told to run free. And we all think we are free because we can do whatever the hell we want in that box. But why are we even in that box, dude?
Our freedom is controlled. 
Animals are also subjected to the same crap. Their freedom is dictated by humans. So my conclusion is that freedom doesn't really exist. It's merely a concept.

I think myself free compared to the average animal. Watching nature documentaries, most animals seem pretty subject to nature’s will or pack hierarchy. I can lounge on the sofa and do whatever. Sure, it seems appealing to be an otter or wild horse, but I don’t spend my day chasing food or running from predators. I do think if I were in a different social situation, I may think differently, though.

Animals are most definitely not free. We farm them to rape them to steal their food for their young then brutally murder them for food, sport, clothing and whatever else humans justify doing to them as our right to being top of the food chain. Humans plunder the land, ripping families apart for the sake of progress and polluting this planet with their deaths being a contributing part of the problem. No, no I definitely don’t see animals being more free than humans.

Yes I believe they are. Animals are not accountable to anybody. They don’t generally have rules they live by. Some have owners but they are still free to do as they please without consequences like humans have.
