October mamas Birth stories

Caylee • 💍I have three beautiful daughters ❣️❣️blessed 🙌🏼

We have followed each others journeys throughout the last 9 months now let’s hear your birth stories here is mine 😊

On September 30th at 8pm I went to the hospital for my induction. I was 3cm & 70% effaced when I got there , they hooked me up to the monitors and I was already having strong contractions on my own and didn’t even feel them!! (I had back labor with my previous pregnancy also and didn’t feel them) so the nurse decided she would insert the pill to thin my cervix the rest of the way at about 11pm. She came back at about 12:30am and checked me again and I was 5cm and 100% effaced so she started to give me some pitocin to help make my contractions a little stronger. At this time I still haven’t had anything for pain. 2:45am came around and I was 7cm and the nurse broke my water. And I decided to go ahead and get the epidural since things were starting to speed up. The anesthesiologist got there at about 3:45am and it took FOREVER to get the epidural in 😨😨 he kept hitting the veins in my back which was giving me extreme anxiety and caused my BP to get pretty high, finally after the 3rd attempt he got it in, it was only working on my left side though, by this time it’s 4:20am and the nurse checks again and I’m 9cm so she went to call the doctor. 4:45am I call the nurse and tell her I’m having a lot of pressure and she checks again and I’m 10cm. So finally the doctor arrives at 5:03am she got her gown on and gloves checked me and said push and literally within half of a push my babygirl was born at 5:08am! I had such a easy and pain free labor my baby was 8lbs 5oz and 22inches long

I’m so thankful to have had such a amazing team of nurses and OB doctors taking such good care of me 💜
